behind the blog

how it all began

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Clemson University and a Master’s in Global Health from the University of Notre Dame. My professional path began in global health and community wellness through my time as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, Africa, where I worked with women and families on health education, nutrition, and child wellness. That experience sparked something in me — a lifelong commitment to helping people take ownership of their own health through knowledge and simple, sustainable practices.

About Me

hey, i’m madison

I’m a single mom, Ayurvedic Health Coach, and lifelong student of wellness. My journey into holistic health has taken me across the world — from the villages of Cameroon to the beaches of the Dominican Republic, to the mountains of Spain and the rainforests of Peru. Each place has shaped how I see the world and how I understand health — not as a one-size-fits-all approach, but as a deeply personal journey of balance, curiosity, and connection.

My Philosophy on Healing

Over the years, I’ve explored many healing systems, from Western medicine to Traditional Chinese Medicine to Ayurveda. My philosophy is simple: no single system is “better.” I believe that all forms of medicine — modern and traditional — have wisdom to offer, and that true health comes from understanding how to integrate them.

My Ayurvedic training

I became a Certified Ayurvedic Health Coach through the Joyful Belly School of Ayurveda, where I learned to translate ancient Ayurvedic principles into modern, realistic routines for today’s busy lives (especially for moms like me). My mission is to empower others with the tools and knowledge to take charge of their health — not through restriction or perfection, but through balance, self-awareness, and compassion.

frequently asked q’s

Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing from India that focuses on balancing the body, mind, and spirit through food, lifestyle, and mindfulness practices. It teaches that we are all unique — and so should be our approach to health.

Absolutely not. I believe that Ayurveda and Western medicine work best together. Ayurveda can help you prevent illness and support your body’s natural healing, while modern medicine is essential for diagnostics, emergencies, and specialized care.

I work with anyone looking to reconnect with their body, build healthier habits, and bring balance back into their life — whether you’re dealing with stress, digestive issues, fatigue, or simply wanting to feel better day to day.

Every session begins with getting to know you — your goals, your routines, your challenges. Together, we’ll create a customized plan that fits into your real life, not one that overwhelms it. My approach blends Ayurveda, public health, and global wellness perspectives for a truly integrative experience.

Yes — because it’s personalized. Ayurveda meets you where you are and helps you make small, sustainable changes that lead to lifelong balance.
